


It is the seventh chronological installment in the series and the sequel to Sonic Adventure. A version for Microsoft Windows was released in November 2012. The original game and content from Battle was released in high-definition on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in October 2012. Due to Sega's exit from the video game console manufacturing business, the game was ported to the Nintendo GameCube and re-titled Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, with brand-new features as well as minor changes in the level design. It was released in North America, Europe, and Japan in June 2001 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
